Naturopath's Comments: "Diet, lifestyle and stress will impact on the changing cycles for women. This nurturing tea blend is chosen to support women during menopause targeting symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, sleeplessness and memory function. It also supports the nervous system which is often overwhelmed during this time and increases your capacity to cope with stress." Our tea also aims to improve liver function to provide better hormonal balance. A lovely, supportive tea.
Korean Panax Ginseng - considered the most potent of the ginseng family. Not only has it been linked to improved memory function, assisting with mood disorders and libido, it is an anti-inflammatory and a fantastic all-round wellness herb.
Sage (Salvia officinalis) - Has a long history of use in Europe for the traditional use in supporting night sweats, hot flushes and other menopausal complaints. It is also beneficial for memory and assists with relaxation.
Alfalfa (medicago sativa) - a known phytoestrogen (meaning that it contains compounds that act like oestrogen and these may alleviate symptoms). Alfalfa has been scientifically shown to relieve hot flushes and night sweats.
Red clover (trifolium foenum) - also contains phytoestrogens. When it comes to menopausal health, clover is one of the most widely researched herbs.
Dandelion root (taraxacum officinale) - an excellent liver cleanser. Maintaining healthy blood during menopause will help to achieve better hormone balance. It can also assist with upset tummies and fluid retention.
Lavender (lavendula augustifolia) - Anxiety, mood swings and insomnia are common menopausal symptoms. Lavender has been clinically shown to assist with these concerns. Also, one study showed that lavender can reduce hot flushes.
