Lung Chee ‘Lelsa’
A Kenya green tea of notable quality, smooth and mild, with a delicate aroma of eucalyptus. Known for its CTC classic black teas, Lelsa has only been producing specialty teas like this Lung Chee and Pai Mu Tan for a decade but with excellent results. The estate holds clones proven to produce the highest quality tea in the world. First tea bushes were planted in 1940, and the name Lelsa means ‘white nettle plants’ which dominate the landscape. Approximately 450 hectares are planted with tea the remaining 280 hectares is covered with indigenous forest and Eucalyptus trees.
Origin: Lelsa, Tinderet Tea Estate, Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley at an elevation of 1800m above sea level.
Brew: 1 teaspoon per cup for 2-2 ½ mins in 80-90° water. No need for milk
