Japan Tamaryokucha Imperial

This is a remarkable pan fired, hand rolled tea with the silkiness of almonds yet the tartness of berries. Produced in Kyushu (Kumamoto), Southern Japan this artisan tea is characterised with twisted rather flattened leaves of a sencha which intensifies their dark green colour – a sign of high quality in this type of tea. Milder than most Japanese teas it has a subtle liquor and fragrant infusion with a golden yellow cup. Delightful to try if you’re experimenting with Japanese green teas
