Japan Sencha Kakegawa
A supreme sencha with a subtle grassy flavour with an aroma of sea breezes. Less tangy with more delicacy than most senchas, perfect for a beginner’s palate. The 3rd and 4th leaf of the tea bush are used, making it affordable yet great tasting. A bright emerald coloured leaf, and pure golden green cup. Grown on a small family estate in the hills North of the City of Kakegawa in Japan.
Origin: From a small family run plantation in the Kakegawa region of Japan known for its qualitative, deep steamed sencha.
Brew: 1 teaspoon per cup for 1-3mins in 80-90° water. No need for milk
